Vehicle upholstery is always a unique task, as it is rare to work on two identical vehicles or vehicle seats in a row. What I've never worked on before is the seats of railways and railway carriages, so I'm happy to be able to give you a few words about our first job of this kind.

The headrests on the seats were badly worn, torn, discoloured and thinned, so the outer leatherette coverings were in desperate need of a replacement.

We had to produce 60 perfectly identical headrest covers based on a sample provided by the customer. The template required precise measurements and the sewing required precise tailoring and material fitting. So, after the umpteenth piece, it was quite a meticulous job to pay careful attention to every millimetre. The attached pictures show not only the final result, but also the two most important stages of the work.
