Good work organisation is one of the most important pillars of all our orders. This helps to ensure the perfect timing of delivery, coordinate work processes with other fellow cratfsmen and leave enough time for quality work.
In line with these principles, the following gigaproject was launched last year. It is to be grateful to my returning client's prudent mindset, that we were able to work with the restaurant's designers from the very first moment. With all the drawings and plans in hand, we agreed on exact dimensions on site. As plans had been modified several times since the first version, we had to follow these changes, keeping in mind the quality and quantity of the materials needed, their availability and storage possibilities.
We made all the straight and curved fan-shaped benches for the new restaurant, from the joinery to the upholstery, from the repeated taking of the measurements to their fixing. Each piece of furniture had to be transported to the site several times before upholstery, as not only the visual design was constantly changing, but also the restaurant's amenity functions, such as sockets for telephone chargers built into the plinths of the benches.
To cope with the extra stress, the seat supports have been reinforced for safety reasons. Of course, we also offered the customer individual adjustments to the comfort level of the benches, i.e. the hardness of the seat surfaces and the angle of the backrests were tested beforehand. For the upholstery, we used a special Belgian velvet fabric in a particularly beautiful shade of so-called marble blue.
